In the Trunks menu you tell Asterisk how we are connected to the outside world and which VoIP providers are available. You can define details about as many SIP, IAX, ISDN, ZAPtel or Custom trunks as you like. Think of trunks as logical voice or video channels with different technology, usually capable of carrying several voice sessions at once. Once you have defined your trunks here, they appear for selection in the Routes menu.
